Busy in the Studio!

SO much AWESOMENESS we here at the Lost in the Woods Studio have planned for the upcoming year!
2012 will be spectacular...I can feel it!
The Tanana Valley Farmers Market is also a goal we have in mind. There is a bit of a process we have to go through to have a booth there and if they like our stuff we with any luck will be a vendor for the Summer to see how it goes and to share what we have with our community (We hope to see you there!...And we hope to be there!) :)

And without a doubt we will be at the holiday crafts bizaar's later in the year!

What will we have to offer you may be wondering? Well....

Cool art stuff includes: Cards from my watercolor prints and of course new and improved prints (up to 8X10).
SWEET sculptures and figurines, magnets and broaches, focal beads for necklaces and also some bits and pieces so you can go home and make something cool out of the bits and pieces!

***As of this point in the studio ALL of the creations in polymer clay are hand sculpted by my own hand and of my personal designs from my sketchbooks and my head muse's...In case your wondering :)***

Sid my son is the studio graphic designer and boy does he have some awesomeness planned!
We will be launching our own little tiny ETSY shop (i'll post when we open it...New Year's Day is the goal launch date) Sid has been working hard on getting the banner and other "technical" stuff together.

We have our first Lost in the Woods Studio Newsletter coming out next month via email to all who would like to receive it! (Newsletters will be available in any booth we may have wherever we will be at)

Sid is also designing some great new business cards and really cool tags for the figurines and sculpture! (I also have some other stuff for the studio that I want him to work on too...Hey the economy is rough and he needs a job so I have plenty for him to do!) :)

Lots of goals with the studio this year and two of them are to join the International Polymer Clay Association and the Polymer Clay Artists Guild of ETSY
I would like to write some polymer clay and possibly some watercolor articles for the guilds and maybe I should aim real high and try to write an article for one of the print publications...It's always good to have goals!

So that's what's happening in our neck of the woods!

From our family to yours...Happy Holidays and I will post again next year! (2012! Hehehee!).

Lovely Little Lemurs

Gail Johnson
(Who's photos are spctacular!)

And what Lovely Little Lemurs they are :)

I LOVE lemurs...I'm sort of addicted to them...Ever since my awesome visit to the Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo and Gardens in  Hilo, Hawaii.
The expressions on their faces and the hilarious long tail that they sling over their shoulders is probably what makes me giggle the most about them (also my cat sorta gets the same expression on his face as they do...So the bond is cemented!).

So I wanted to share two "prototypes" of the lemurs I have been working on...I like one's little paw hands and the others face...Soooo, thus...They are not ready yet to offer for sale or as I call it "Adoption." (and yes, they will each be numbered, given an awesome little name and an adoption certificate...Still working all the awesomeness out.

Here are the first two "prototypes:"

So as you can see I have a bit of tweaking here and there (and some more sketches...TO THE DRAWING BOARD I GO!).

Enjoy!
