Love is in the Air!
Ahhh yes, LOVE...
And it's that time of season to gear up here in the shop for Saint Valentine's Day!
We hand sculpted 3 special little "Phat Baby Manatees" for just this very special day dedicated to the loves in our life.
Let us introduce you to: "Love Makes A Difference," "You Are Always Pretty My Love," and a re-intro to "Mi Amore."
Each little "Phat Baby Manatee" is an original, hand sculpted little piece of art and each is carefully hand stamped with TONS of love and attention.

We also would like to take this opportunity to announce that we are also starting a new series we are lovingly (and sadly) calling "Extinct IS Forever." Which will be coming out within the next few weeks here.
Our baby manatees have a few new buddies including (SO EXCITED).....
"Phat Baby Rhinos!" (SO ADORABLE)! and the rest is still in the development stage of sketches!
We can hardly wait to share them with you!
Each baby will have hand stamped into them the words: "extinct is forever..."
Such a sad thing, but its our way of raising a bit of awareness to this worth fighting for cause. With each passing of a species from humans destroying their habitats...a piece of us is destroyed too :(

Happy Babies!

Manatees are AMAZING animals and we wanted to create little versions of our "adult "Phat Mantees!"
Just like our bigger sculptures...Each one is different, ALL hand sculpted with tons of LOVE!

Lost in the Woods Studio is gearing up for the Saint Valentine's Day holiday by sculpting a few pieces just for the occasion.
The first is our Phat Baby Manatee we named "Mi Amore," which means "My Love" in Italiian.

The words "Mi Amore" and "Amore" are hand stamped around the little phat baby manatee.
Red glitter is embedded into the clay and the pearl ex powders give this little sweetie a really pretty golden amber hue.

HAPPY NEW YEAR INDEED!
Happy New Year to everyone...And we sincerely hope that your new year is going as WONDERFUL as ours!
Our NEW Etsy Shop has opened and so far it has been SUPER fun....AND, we even sold our first item within just a day of opening the shop! We sold "Starry Night" manatee from our "Phat Manatee Collection"of what we are calling "Home Ornament's."
What is a "Home Ornament" you ask?....
Well, since the sculpture is created around a glass sphere (a.k.a. a brand new strait from the box Christmas Tree ornament)...Why should one only bring it out during the holidays? So we cleverly disguised the beloved "Christmas Bulb" as an all year round way to enjoy the individual art piece! ~Clever, huh?! (We think so)!
We think our sculptural art pieces would look SO SUPER CUTE placed around (or in) house plants...They would look like they are swimming in the ocean!! <-------AWESOME idea ALERT!
But we don't JUST have manatee art in the shop...Right now we have "Cordelia: Jewel of the Sea." She is a faniciful mermaid and the first we are offering online from our "Phat Mermaid Collection." We also have our little "WaterSpouts" figurine collectables available now too!! (They are SUPER CUTE and all of them (as well as everything else) is a 100% handmade original from our own designs created by our own hands!
