Good Morning Beatrice



That would be the name of my newest little bird sculpture: "Good Morning Beatrice."
"She" roughly took me around 15 hours to sculpt but I did learn a lot...Like using aluminum foil as an armature so that the sculpture (in my case) doesn't weigh a lot and also conserves on the clay usage. :)
I also used "Fimo Gloss Varnish."
WHOA...
This stuff really means "Gloss" too! My Beatrice bird almost looks like she slid through an oil slick (*Note to self: maybe try a "Satin Varnish" next time).
Or perhaps maybe she looks like polished stone. :)
I also got to really get into Pearl Ex brand of powders for to add in a bit of shiney "POP" color to her beak, eyes and feetsies! Her little eyes are jasper stone beads.
